Important notes before applying

This is a series of English classes at a school, NOT our usual program.
Therefore, we will prioritize those who will be able to attend all 5 classes written below, until February 2026.
The role is more similar to that of a TA than Senior Buddy, and for Japanese students it is essential to have the same foreign student every time in class.
Please refrain from applying for this position if you are not sure if you will be available until February 2025 (e.g. graduating and leaving Japan, or getting a job, etc).

★Being able to attend 4 classes in 2025 is mandatory, and attendance for all 5 class dates is preferred.

It is mandatory to join the prior online briefing. Dates will be arranged after the job offer.

■Contents & your roles *Please read this carefully!
・Style：school class- a series of annual English “Inquiry-Based-Learning” classes.
・Students：High school 2nd grade students
・Contents：
The main theme of this course is “promoting Japanese products/services overseas (=your country) to improve their lives or solve any difficulties in daily lives”.

You will be joining 5 classes in total, sharing your opinions, and giving some advice or feedback on their research and presentation preparation. The team you’ll be in charge is the same throughout the year.

Through this topic, students will think about the way to make people there happy, comfortable or to solve some problems in that country by promoting Japanese products.
You will have the chance to introduce your country’s culture, and its connection with the world.
Please assist students throughout the classes and enjoy discovering new ideas with them!

■Requirements
･Punctuality is extremely important
※Since this is a school class we must be on time, and Tomonokai cannot adjust the starting time.

･To have VISA status to participate in the work described in this article, or to have received permission to engage in activities described in this article.
･To participate fully from the start to the end (any payment will not occur if you cannot participate fully from the start to the end)

■Payments per one class
5,500yen in total
Above includes; PPT preparation(only once) and transportation fee from your home to the venue

※Payday: Class’s next month 25th through Japanese bank transfer only. To participate, a valid Japanese bank account of your own is required.
Payday is fixed, and it cannot be discussed.
